A transportable building can arrive on schedule and still be impossible to place safely if the site has not been checked in physical detail. A rough pad, pooled water or a narrow entrance may not appear on a plan. Before transport is booked, walk the full route with the delivery and lifting teams.
Measure gate openings, turning areas and low branches, and note overhead cables, gradients, soft verges and places where the vehicle can stop without blocking other operations.
Ask the driver to review the swept path, because the trailer may cut a different line from the towing vehicle around a bend. Record the findings and circulate one marked-up route plan.
