The Capital City Trail was a heritage trail that ran through the center of Raleigh, North Carolina. It featured 45 sites in the city center, each with a brief history and a map. There were also signs on the trails corresponding to the numbered properties on the brochure. The project was spearheaded by the Raleigh Woman’s Club in conjunction with the Raleigh Historic Sites Commission, the Raleigh Tourist and Convention Association, the Raleigh Planning Department, and others.
